Inspired by the issue’s theme, Scher created a map of her dog Mimi’s morning walk through NYC’s NoMad neighborhood.


The designers used the issue as an opportunity to play with type, including the blown-up Helvetica they recently developed for Scher’s first NFT.

Introducing Queen Mimi of NoMad, cover star! Pentagram partner Paula Scher was invited to design the latest issue of , the print publication of WeTransfer’s digital arts and editorial platform, and gave the leading role to her beloved Australian Shepherd, Mimi.
Each issue of WePresent is created in three separate versions by three different sets of designers. Number 5 has a focus on neighborhood and community, the three variations were designed by Scher in New York, in Amman, and in Berlin.
In keeping with the issue’s theme, Scher and her team created a map of Mimi’s morning walk through Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. Mimi is not one to sit and pose for pictures, so all images of the dog, as well as those used in the map, were created with AI through . The Pentagram pet also shows up in a story about creativity as an interspecies phenomenon.
