‘The Book of the Dog’

A book stuffed with representations of man’s best friend in art from the nineteenth century to present day.

'Self-portrait with Dog' by Bernhard Osterman
'Lucky the Greyhound' by Thomas Dang Vu
'Boy' - a hard working terrier by Jean-Léon Gérôme
'Portrait of HRH the Prince of Wales' with a Cairn Terrier by John Saint-Helier Lander
'Gilbert, the French Bull Dog' by Daniella Lo Presti
'Felix' by Elizabeth Peyton a fabulous dog who made his debut in a Los Angeles art show

The book is part of Pentagram’s continued exploration of Le Style Anglais - a tone that is informative and humorous, stuffed with history and a uniquely British irony.

'Weimaraner Drawing' by Laura Hardie

Retrospective: London Design Festival

London Design Festival has been an annual celebration of the power of creativity for over 20 years. Since 2008, Pentagram partner Domenic Lippa has served as the LDF’s creative director, responsible every September for the design of a new visual identity. By inventively remixing a few key elements — typography, a signature red (“the colour of London”), and LDF's simple monogram — the program unifies hundreds of events while reaffirming London’s status as a global design capital.
